WineOS, the largest and most important wine fair in Slavonia, has begun in Osijek. Visitors can discover wines from hundreds of producers, ranging from large, well-established wineries to smaller ones that are only beginning to make their mark on the market.

– Vineyard areas in Croatia are declining. Wine production is also decreasing, which is absurd considering that Croatia is a country whose economy relies significantly on tourism, says Igor Mikulić, representative of the Croatian Chamber of Economy.
– What Croatian winemaking needs most at this moment is promotion and for our consumers to know what is available. We must thank our consumers for remaining loyal to our wines, says Tomislav Panenić of the “Graševina Croatica” winemakers’ association.
